The project focuses on a common problem, identified on both sides of the border. All 8 counties in the eligible area have a good touristic potential and every year a large number of tourists spend their holiday or leisure time in the area. Due to the short distances between these counties, a tourist can easily visit touristic attractions from both sides of the border. Taking into consideration the lack of information about the touristic events and places, the project wants to give the tourist the necessary information so that they consider the border area as a single area of interest. The overall objective of the INFO-TURISM project is to increase the number of tourists using new and modern marketing tools. Within project, the two partners developed a tourism web portal, on which one may find information about the attractions in the region, a calendar of events, information about natural and cultural attractions, wellness, leisure programs, accommodation, traditions and gastronomy. The main activities of the project are the development of portal and the elaboration of a database. The target groups are: tourists and service providers.
