The project identified and successfully addressed the common shortcomings of primary and secondary schools in Arad and Hódmezővásárhely through skill development trainings organised for teachers and students. Primary school teachers were taught to integrate origami and quilling techniques into their teaching process, while secondary school teachers could learn about using media information tools. Secondary school students could participate in exchange programmes (meant to enhance their competences) organised in camps in the Lunca Mureșului Natural Park and the Mártélyi Landscape Protection Area. The project closure was marked by the launch of an intercultural festival meant to promote interculturality and friendship between the two schools and to honour Tóth Sándor, originally from Hódmezővásárhely, who became a martyr of the 1989 Romanian Revolution while bringing humanitarian aid to his Romanian neighbours. The Tóth Sándor Distinction is not meant to boost any cult of personality; it is meant to promote the ideal of civism, generosity, and brotherhood.
Results: 40 teachers trained to use new training techniques, 400 participants and 8 nationalities attending the intercultural festival, 120 students attending the joint camp
