Project title: Alternative Energy in the Border Region – Role of Biomass as Renewable Energy Source

The conference takes place within the „Alternative Energy in the Border Region – Role of Biomass as Renewable Energy Source” project, implemented by the universities of Debrecen and Oradea. The aim of the joint research is to encompass the cooperation opportunities of the neighbouring counties in the fields of alternative energy and biomass energetics.
In general, the conference tries to highlight the relevance of alternative (renewable) energy, and especially the role of biomass, while aiming to describe the possibilities and conditions of their utilisation. The series of lectures introduced by the Hungarian strategies and funding policies in the above described field, will also address the role of renewable energy in regional development, energy agencies as promoters of renewable energy sources as well as different types of utilisation technologies in the presentation of both Hungarian and Romanian experts.
