Celebrate European Cooperation day with the HURO programme!
11 September 2013

The Csiky Gergely Hungarian State Theatre from Timişoara and the Inno-Motive Nonprofit Kft. from Szeged are hosting an exceptional performance, dedicated to the second edition of the European Cooperation Day. Under the aegis of the Hungary - Romania Cross-Border Co-operation Programme 2007 – 2013, on Thursday, 26 September, 2013 the team of the cross-border project will reenact “Alice (after Lewis Carroll)” in a fresh and innovative formula.

While the double-premiere was enacted simultaneously in Timişoara and Szeged on 10 June 2013 and was broadcast online through virtual technology -, on 26 September 2013, starting from 4 p.m., the young Romanian and Hungarian talents of the show will perform on the stage set up in Timişoara, “separated”, just like in Wonderland, by a wall and a window. The spectators will find themselves, alternatively, on both sides of the “mirror”, as in Lewis Carroll’s famous story, and will be able to see both perspectives of the story, rendered in English. Directed by Kedves Emőke, the play benefits of a score signed by Cári Tibor, played live by an orchestra and choir and broadcast online through virtual technology.

In order to take part in the show, talented youngsters from Romania and Hungary attended a complex artistic and educational programme, under the strict supervision of their mentors.

The purpose of the E-THEATRUM project is to gather producers, e-trainers, talented youth, actors and spectators from Romania and Hungary, and help them work together to build a cultural bridge, offering new means of communication and connection between the audience and the theatre.

Take part in the virtual theatre performance and join us for a walk on the cultural bridge!

Participation is free of charge but all participants need to confirm their attendance in advance. For more information, please contact:
